Still
Leo Ieiri
Our favorite movies and the parts we laughed at are the same
Us being together was just as normal as breathing
I wonder, can we return again to those obvious days?
We’re connected by these still conversations so
I realize that these tears are the start of the end
I wonder as I look at the reflection of myself in the window, am I smiling well?
I begin to ask myself “Until when do I plan on deceiving myself?”
Although I can see the answer
I hate you; I hate you; If I was able to think that way
Everything wouldn’t be so painful but
In my dreams you are gently smiling so
These feelings of wanting to see you cannot be stopped
In this season we rushed through we’ve got nothing to talk about
The hands of the clock carve up these cold days
The couples looking like they’re going to freeze cuddle close and walk on
Even if it was a vague love, if I could be by your side
I wouldn’t desire for anything more
I hate you; I hate you; I want to say that but
I can’t lie to myself
I wish I could return to that day
I didn’t know that love is this suffocating
I love you; I love you; I want to tell you that
here at the place we first met
I won’t say anything selfish, I won’t say anything about my loneliness, so...
But your shadow moves far off
I hate you; I hate you; If I was able to think that way
Everything wouldn’t be so painful but
In my dreams you are gently smiling so
These feelings of wanting to see you cannot be stopped
